Greetings from Crista Shaw at Passport to Education®! Our work helps students with a disability to request 504/ADA services in college. 504/ADA services are free civil rights services offered at 2 and 4 year colleges and vocational schools that receive federal funding. When college students become eligible for these services, it positively transforms their college experience. Listen to our testimonials below from 2 Moms, a Dad and a Veteran who used the Passport to Education® training manual. I welcome you to purchase our training manual, or schedule time with me in a Q & A Group Webinar, or a training for your staff.
Welcome to the work of advocating for 504/ADA-eligible college students of any age!
My passion for equal access to higher education grew in managing a 504/ADA college access services program in Washington state. I offer students' experience and success applying 504/ADA civil rights through my writing and training for you. My students were my greatest teachers!
My goal is to empower anyone considering college who has a barrier to learning success due to a disability. Disability management in college is very possible with 504/ADA reasonable accommodations. Students should come forward and request eligibility based on U.S. civil rights, to create a career and a life they desire.
Use our free 504/ADA mobile app at this link. This is a quick introduction to 504/ADA services and eligibility for anyone thinking about college. Walk through the process step by step — no sign-up required.
